I keep looking at this blog but remain confused. I never got an overview on DNA testing and that would be helpful. Seem like I am coming in on the middle of the story there. Are these new names ADDED each week and how do you get them? Mine never appears What canI do to help. Do I need the DNA to participate.

    • Hi, Barbara, My name is Teresa and this is my website/blog. I do this for fun and because I have two direct Scottish prisoner of war ancestors and my husband has one. I am not a professional but I’ve been doing my own family research for over 35 years. I add pages somewhat randomly. If I come across some information about a SPOW I might decide to add a page for him. I use the two main lists on this site. Sometimes I work on a page because someone has asked about a particular person. You do not need to be in the Y-DNA project. Please tell me more about your ancestor. What is his name and what do you already know about him? Teresa@scottishprisonersofwar.com
